EDG Electric provides professional electrical services to residential and commercial customers throughout New York City and Long Island, including but not limited to:
We provide free estimates for most non-emergency electrical work. Estimates are provided based on information you supply and an initial inspection. Final costs may vary if additional work or unforeseen issues are discovered during the project.
All quotes are provided in writing and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified. Quotes are based on the scope of work described and may change if:
Emergency electrical services are billed at emergency rates, which are higher than standard rates due to the immediate response nature of the work. Emergency rates will be disclosed before service begins when possible.
We will make reasonable efforts to arrive within the scheduled appointment window. Delays may occur due to traffic, previous job complications, or emergencies. We will notify you as soon as possible if we are running late.
You must provide safe and reasonable access to all work areas. This includes:
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours notice. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a cancellation fee.
We accept payment by:
Payment terms depend on the size and scope of the project:
Invoices are due within 30 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing. Late payments may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month (18% annually) or the maximum rate permitted by law, whichever is less.
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us within 10 days of receiving your invoice. We will work with you to resolve the issue promptly.
We guarantee the quality of our workmanship for one (1) year from the date of service completion. If you experience any issues caused by our workmanship during this period, we will repair the problem at no additional charge.
Materials and equipment installed by EDG Electric are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. We will assist you in making warranty claims when applicable.
Our warranty does not cover:
When required by NYC Department of Buildings, we will obtain all necessary electrical permits for the work we perform. Permit costs are included in your quote unless otherwise specified.
We will coordinate required inspections with NYC DOB. You must provide access to the property for inspections. If an inspection fails due to issues unrelated to our work, additional fees may apply for re-inspection.
For work in co-op or condo buildings, you are responsible for obtaining building board approval before work begins. We can provide documentation to support your approval request.
EDG Electric maintains comprehensive general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage. Proof of insurance is available upon request.
Our liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount paid for the specific services that gave rise to the claim. We are not liable for:
We will take reasonable precautions to protect your property during our work. If we cause damage to your property due to our negligence, we will repair or compensate you for the damage.
All work performed by EDG Electric meets or exceeds current NYC electrical codes and National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements. However, we are only responsible for bringing to code the specific work we perform, not the entire electrical system unless contracted to do so.
If we discover dangerous electrical conditions during our work, we will notify you immediately. We may need to disconnect power or take other emergency measures to ensure safety. Additional work to correct hazards will require your approval unless it poses an immediate danger.
We do not remove or disturb asbestos, lead paint, or other hazardous materials. If such materials are discovered during our work, we will stop work in that area and notify you. Remediation by a certified professional may be required before we can proceed.
